Remarks:  Included in Fritz Krampe box at the National Archives, Picture of Lewin at: <a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/40/Helmut-Lewin-1936.JPG/325px-Helmut-Lewin-1936.JPG" /a>, Helmut Lewin: 1899 - 1963: Born in Schneidemühl, Germany. Studied architecture and fine art under Walter Gropius at the Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany. Worked as an architect in Windhoek, Namibia. War internment in Andalusia, South Africa. Went back to Germany and worked as a lecturer at the University of Hamburg 1946 - 1949. Returned to Namibia in 1950 and died in Windhoek 1963. Solo - Exhibitions in Namibia, Germany and Portugal. Collections: Arts Association Namibia, private collections in Namibia and Germany
