| Remarks: A proclamation stated that 'The reservoir and water trough were built after José Rafael Perfecto von Uslar, a water diviner, (he divined 172 springs in all) had successfully indicated subterranean water with a forked stick in 1906'. The Kaiserbrunnen 'Imperial well' was used until 1936 and the never-ending search for water resulted in the construction of a reservoir and a drinking trough built around von Uslar's discovery. The trough is made of stone and cement and water could be drawn from here for animals and humans alike., A few metres north-east of the reservoir is the borehole, capped with black marble stone with the inscription 'Von Uslar's Borehole'., The Kaiserbrunnen is situated at the northern side of the railway line where Karibib meets bush.
